Life Legacy
Cecilia Ann Bednarz, 86, of East Main St., Jewett City, died Friday morning, March 5, 2010 at St. Joseph Living Center in Windham with family at her bedside.
Cecilia was born on January 9, 1924 in Jewett City, to the late Joseph Wojtcuk and the late Gertrude (Lytfyncuk) Wojtcuk. Cecilia married John L. Parker in Redding, Iowa in August of 1949, who predeceased her. She married again in November of 1963 with Mathew Bednarz in Jewett City, he also predeceased her. Her interests included cooking, singing, and gardening. She had a great love of animals and nature. In addition, she was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Jewett City and the Happy Time Club.
Cecilia is survived by her son Howard James Parker and daughter-in-law, Janet, of Exeter, RI, and their children H.J. Parker Jr. of Voluntown, CT and Nadine Pinkerton of Lebanon, CT. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Katharyan Tanguay and Gerard Tanguay of Canterbury, and their children, Katrease Gerace and family of East Hartford, CT and G.Peter Tanguay and family of Griswold, CT. Additionally, she is survived by sisters, Vina Dudek of Tampa FL and Nancy Wildowsky of Brooklyn, CT; her brothers, Frank Wojtcuk of Aubin Maine, Felix Winters of Hampton, CT and Albert Wojtcuk, PhD of Taftville, CT. She was predeceased by brothers, Stanley Wojtcuk of Dayville, CT and predeceased by sisters, Janet Wagner of Jewett City and Alice D’Andra of Plainfield, CT. Cecilia is also survived by two great grandchildren Lauran Michele Pinkerton and Mitchel Evan Tanguay and many nieces and nephews.
We leave her in the arms of angels.
